I was not surprised with this win but still can't help shaking my head over the voters. Damn it, America. Are you kidding me?
I started watching it when I saw Haley's clip and loved her husky voice and choice of music. She's like Camile Velasco but with more power and confidence. She is a jazz singer. She growls. I was in Ilocos during the final 2 announcement and found out she got eliminated. :(

A short one but you kinda have an idea what kind of artist she is. This song is like a mainstay in every singing competition but it's the first time that i can say i truly liked it because of Haley.
What is what should never be - Led Zeppelin
Her finale song before the top 2 finale. Yep, a female AI contestant singing a Led Zeppelin song in the finale. The best part? Her dad was playing the guitar on stage. Watch her trip at 1:25 haha. It was said that Jimmy Page of Led Zep personally contacted the producers to let her sing a Led Zep song after watching her this season.
Moaning with fellow contestant Casey Abrams
If not Haley, then Casey. That's my take this season. Casey is actually the most talented of all contestants this season but looking at the winner and finale 2, you already know why he got eliminated early. Meh. This performance clearly shows they are the best this season.
Benny and the Jets - Elton John
This was it! My favorite Haley performance of the season. Other performances were bigger but this really made me believe in her and told myself "Haley is my bet this season!"! I had months of playing this song on my ipod and at work every single day! This is how you growl! I just love love this version! Now people consider this as her best performance of the season. She was also angry here after getting hammered by JLO and Randy for her first song. This gives me chills.
Rollin in the deep - Adele
I like the jazzyness of this. She incorporated her famous growl in the latter parts.
You and I - Lady Gaga
This song got so-so reviews from the judges when she performed it but i love love it! This was an unreleased Lady Gaga song and just like benny and the jets, it was on my music player for months, all day everyday! It's that contagious! Go listen to the studio version below from start to finish!
Finale song - Bennie the jets (after elimination)
This tribute wont' be finish without this! Haley's swan song when she was eliminated and Scotty and Lauren was announced to be the top 2! She sang benny and the jets again.The best part? at 1:11 when she changed the lyrics to "Oh Randy and Jlo have you seen them yet? whoah but they're so spaced out. Benny and steven" If you've been watching the show, you know that even if she rocked the song, she'll get bad reviews from JLO and Randy only. It was said that the show wanted a "country music finale" hence Scotty and Lauren and they got it. Hope they are happy as Haley got the most bought songs in itunes right now.
Up to now it's still so weird to know she did not win and finished 3rd! After 4 standing ovations from the judges (the most this season) and getting noticed by the legends in the industry. Unbelievable. Ellen, adam lambert, robert plant, jimmy page and former AI winners wanted her to win. But I was thinking, no contestant that sings Led Zep in the finale will win this thing lol. The fan girls will never take that.
Haley! I still listen to you and will be waiting for your album release! And you! If you haven't heard her sing! Go listen to all of these! I promise you, they are worth it! I will not make this tribute post if she was not this awesome! :)
