Being pork dependent (we don't want it but we can't help not to have it) individuals, imagine our work team's reaction when this came out:
A few minutes after googling more info. and photos, we were already planning our Lechon or Roast Suckling Pig Pizza date and last November 26, 2010, we finally experienced the Lechon Pizza at the Makati Medical Center branch which was just a walking distance from our office.
We ordered the meal set for four people which includes one medium sized Lechon pizza, 2 plates of pasta, 4 soups and 4 drinks.
Bolognese with meatballs
Fettuccine
Can you see that Lechon bits? Can you?
Pizza Hut's Lechon Pizza!
I liked it overall. You can really taste the "Lechon: in it.
But the Pizza was not enough for we only had 1 slices each and remaining 2 more that we shared
The Makati Medical Pizza Hut branch was tiny and interesting
Overall, the experience was okay. The Lechon Pizza was good, not extra ordinary but i would not mind having it again. Although a friend reported that they are serving the same package at the Pizza Hut Bistro branch for four people too but with salad, seafood pasta and red wine for the same price! I haven't tried it but that looks like a sweat deal. I suggest if you're in groups to order a larger pizza but if you just want to taste or experience it, this one might suffice.
After work, Karen and I decided to have coffee and our usual funny and contemplative talk about anything, but mostly about sex. I will really miss these moments since she's leaving soon. :( I guess i will need to find another talking partner soon lol.
My fave Starbucks Drinks ever: Green tea frappe with hazelnut syrup and Toffee nut frappe
Oh i introduced Pop Beans to Karen when we went to Makati Cinema Square to buy my
dad's dvd's and she loved it of course! Salty things like this are insanely good!
The food feast for a normal work day did not finish because right after our coffee talk, we went to the Tokyo Tokyo place nearby to have dinner. I had Katsudon and didn't order my usual Tempura. I had a fun fulfilled day overall. Can you imagine how me and my teammates live everyday? yes. Major events come in pizzas, crispy patas, cakes and pastries and everything else we can find. A big amount of our money is spent on food. I love this fact because i love eating out and enjoying things with people even though it ruins my waist and diet. But it's interesting how we were all grouped together with similar interests and opinions (well most of the time). I will really miss our core group when we part ways. :(
